The tea garden of Kirishima
The Kirishima region, in Kagoshima Prefecture, has long been recognized as one of the great terroirs of Japanese tea.
Kirishima teas are born at the foot of the sacred mountains of Japanese mythology. Between volcanic lands, morning mists, and pure waters, the tea gardens of Kirishima give rise to teas of remarkable finesse and great aromatic depth.
The requirement at the heart of each batch
The producer from whom we source directly and whom we visit regularly pays particular attention to the quality of each production. Each batch is systematically tasted and validated by the manager of the operation himself, ensuring consistency and uncompromising standards.
Out of respect for the producer's wishes, we have chosen not to disclose their name. However, we would like to share some photographs taken during our visits, showcasing the care and commitment that accompany the production of these teas.
